2CV & VISA Valvetrain

Push rods:

1. Standard push rods 2CV and VISA, 9 mm diameter: 57.5 Gramms +/- 0.5 Gramms.

2. Racing push rod 10 mm diameter: 37 Gramms +/- 0.5 Gramms, this is approximately 16% stronger than the standard push rod. We have been supplying these for our race engines since 1985.

3. Racing push rod 11 mm diameter: 41 Gramms +/- 0.5 Gramms, this is approximately 61% stronger than the standard push rod. Unfortunately no longer available, the tubing can not be sourced from our supplier.

4. Special push rod 12 mm diameter: 39 Gramm +/- 0.5 Gramm, this is approximately 87% stronger than the standard push rod. The pushrod tubes must be changed for in diameter greater ones to accommodate the larger diameter push rods.

Stiffness Improvement Factor:

1. Standard 9 mm Ø push rod: base factor of 100%.
2. Racing 10 mm Ø push rod: 115,8%.
3. Racing 11 mm Ø push rod: 160,6%.
4. Racing 12 mm Ø push rod: 186,6%.

Broken load at 180 N/mm²:

1. Standard 9 mm Ø push rod: buckling load 2720 N, compression load: 6350 N (at the smallest cross section just below the steel end pieces).
2. Racing 10 mm Ø push rod: buckling load 3150 N, compression load: 7210 N (at pipe).
3. Racing 11 mm Ø push rod: buckling load 4370 N, compression load: 8060 N (at pipe).

These valve springs are for racing valve trains only with cam lobe lift over 8 mm!

Racing Valve Spring Type 1:

• Inner diameter= 23,5 mm

• Minimal length (full open valve)= 24,5 mm
• Max valve lift= 10,5 mm
• Static closing force= 400 Newtons

Gudgeon pins (piston pins):

1. Stock Ø 20 mm gudgeon pin, length 63.90 mm, weight 90 - 91 grams.
2. Racing Ø 20 mm gudgeon pin, length 63.90 mm, weight 68 - 69 grams.
3. Ø 22 mm gudgeon pin for pistons for the 720cc 2CV, and the 750/800cc Visa engines. Since different pistons are used according to the compressions ratio ordered by the customer, please contact STP for the exact specifications (length, weight), according to type.
